There are two ways to volunteer: The first is by being an active participant on a mission trip to Russia. Vladisvostok, Russia sits on the edge of a frozen bay on the far eastern tip of Russia, the very last stop on Trans-Siberian Railroad. It is 100 miles away from the border of North Korea and 100 miles from the border of China. Mission Participants visit orphanages and hospices in Vladivostok and the neighboring cities of Lesozavodsk, Ussurisk, and Artyom. In the orphanages, you will see rooms, beds and cribs full of children who could use your helping hearts. In the hospices, you'll see the sick and elderly who could also use your helping hearts. Your mission trip sign-up fee covers food, transportation, lodging and operational expenses. Participants pay their own airfare and visa fees to and from the mission site. Please, download an application, fill in and mail. The second is to volunteer in fund raising and other promotional activities. Helping Hearts Orphan Missions happily accepts help from those blessed with special talents in Web-Site design, fund raising capabilities, collect needed items to donate, and to tranlate documents and programs to Russian translation from English.
